It's patheic
It's pathetic the way you have classified the languages....
Microsoft!!!...huh!!
People, lets evolve...Leave the Microsoft sh*t behind..
It should be classified as OOP, Scripting, Cross-Platform, Open/Closed, etc...

It really is pathetic!
We, in our college are only taught C/C++, VB and Java as Application development programs when there are many more languages that are worth knowing for their richness.
As an administrator I feel a need to justfy the classification of languages:
As you might notice the languages mentioned are the ones that are taught in our curriculum/are the advanced versions of the same/or are very much similar to each other. There are many others that are worth knowing but since even a programmer can learn only so many languages we decided to keep the number restricted. Infact a prime reason to keep these languages is that we can answer your queries about them.
Another point that is worth noting is that not many even know the terms that you have used in your post, let alone know their significance!
But still, we do plan to let everyone have a feel of opensource, cross-platform languages - We plan to introduce Linux, alongside UNIX, Windows and Mac on our OS section; also Anand Gupta, the other administrator, plans to host a forum on Ruby on Rails.
Don't be so harsh on us!!
