Oh yes... Ubuntu 8.10 (Codename: Jaunty) will go from GRUB Screen to Desktop in just 10secs..
Alpha version is out & available for download. It has reported a boot time of 14secs.

Hope canonical achieves the 10sec target.


BTW, why is not anyone posting anymore?? Exams are over, right?
